Features of the surrounding area

The urbanisation is called Pueblo Nuevo. It is a very peaceful area situated near the Mediterranean sea.

It is situated on the other Costa del Sol, less known, which is becoming popular, more authentic, unspoilt, natural, with more contrasts and without a doubt, more surprising.

The annual temperature average is 18,2ºC, and there are no great differences between winter an summer, reaching the subtropical nuance. That is why the area has being named as the one with “the best climate of Europe”. The average of temperature during the summer is around 19ºC and 30ºC. There are 2980 sunny hours per year and the annual rain average is 532 l/m2.

The urbanisation boasts of large green areas with many palm trees situated near the beach of Algarrobo. The beach is only 25m away from the apartment as is the most attractive feature of the urbanisation, its enormous 35m x 15m pool built on the beach side and with its own lifeguard. There is also a tennis court.

All amenities are situated near the apartment: chemist, grocers, newsagents, restaurants, beach restaurants, ice-cream parlours, cafés, bars, Internet cafés, telephone box call centres, a health centre, taxi rank, bus,…

The apartment is 3 km from the motorway A - 7. The road connections are excellent allowing ease to get from one place to another. It is centrally situated to Málaga only 30 mins away, the airport at 50 mins, Marbella 50 mins, Nerja 15 mins, Granada 1hr 15 mins, Córdoba 1hr 30 mins , Seville 2 hrs away… The local hospital, ´Hospital Comarcal´ is only 3 mins away. There is a shopping mall 5 mins away.

The promenade lies between the apartments and the beach which was unveiled in 2006 and now joins the promenades of Torre del Mar, Caleta de Vélez, Mezquitilla and Algarrobo costa. It stretches for 8 km which makes it a relaxing place to walk along or cycle. You encounter a fishing village, tourist towns, commercial towns…, all of which, without a doubt, will captivate you.

The local food adapts to all tastes and budgets. The proximity of the most important fishing village of Málaga, Caleta de Vélez is 500m away, only moments from the apartment where you can enjoy a large variety of fish and fresh shellfish at a very reasonable price. The auction of fish at the harbour every afternoon except during official holidays is a worthwhile experience.

The marina adjacent to the fishing harbour offers an array of boats and yatchs of every dimension and style.

Along the whole coast underwater fishing or fishing can be enjoyed by all.

The urbanisation lies with its back to the green sierras of the Axarquía region, dotted with cottages, hamlets and white washed villages, away from the common tourist routes, which capture the authentic flavour and colour of Andalucia. You have the option of enjoy golf, trekking, mountain biking and any other past time that take your fancy.
